Youi  Insurance advisors have been taking pre-Christmas strike action this morning

25 staff have been refusing to answer phones after months of negotiations.

Youi has offered an increase of 1.6 percent - but its workers aren't satisfied.

First Union spokesperson Ragda Hassan says staff are earning on average, 15 percent less than others in their industry.

She says the cut throat pay model has set up a punitive work culture, leaving workers with low morale.
