Hull Kingston Rovers are leading a revolt of Super League clubs against Catalans Dragons' signing of Israel Folau

The BBC reports correspondence has been delivered to the club, warning them of legal action.

It has put the Dragons "on notice" if their club suffers "financial loss" due to the signing of Folau because of his outspoken views against homosexuals and sinners in general.

Hull KR has given the example of a title sponsor withdrawing, or external investment not getting secured.

Crisis talks will be held with the Dragons at a Super League board meeting in Salford tomorrow.

Folau is training with the Dragons, but no debut date has been confirmed.
