Police believe the death was due to a medical event, and not related to coronavirus.

Health officials met flight CZ305 from Guangzhou when it arrived at Auckland Airport.

A China Southern Airlines spokesperson says crew and volunteers assisted on board, immediately administering CPR and other emergency measures.

The spokesperson says the airline is continuing to cooperate with the investigation.
