    Support for a new secondary school assessment system


    The New Zealand Initiative wants the Ministry of Education to adopt its measures, which they say are objective and fair.

    Policy Analyst Joel Hernandez says the ministry could now identify high-performing schools - regardless of decile.

    Victoria University education academic Michael Johnston says giving schools performance feedback is a great idea.

    He says it may tell schools they have a problem... and it will help them address those problems.
