Brace yourself for some gruesome footballing news

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Northern Irish footballer Corry Evans says his nose was pushed two centimetres back into his head when he fractured skull during a tackle playing for Blackburn Rovers against Preston in January.

Part of his forehead was fractured and his eye-socket was crushed.

Doctors compared it to a car crash injury or being hit by a baseball bat or hammer.

Evans is recovering and is hoping to return in May - coronavirus pending.
