The owner of a shop near where a man died in Auckland this morning says CCTV footage from his business shows two people dragging another person out of a car

A man died on Parkfield Terrace in Grafton after a shooting in St Johns about 6.

The shop owner, who doesn't want to be named, says the footage then shows a man pacing around and talking on the phone for about 15 minutes.

He says he seemed calm and was looking up and down the road, as if waiting for police, who arrived shortly afterwards.

The owner says the man had plenty of time to run away.

He's been in business there for five years and is shocked by the incident, saying it's normally a peaceful street.

Police are still looking for whoever carried out the shooting.
