Police remain at the scene of an Auckland property where a person died last night

Emergency services were called to the scene on Akoranga Drive in Northcote about 5.30pm - after reports of someone being assaulted.

A person is in custody and another is in hospital.

New Zealand Herald reporter Emma Russell is there - and says the area has been cordoned off.

She says Police have set up a blue tent on the driveway where three cars are parked.
