Praise for the Government's latest investment in Mental Health

Praise for the Government's latest investment in Mental Health

Education and Health Minister Chris Hipkins has announced a $25 million boost to mental health services for tertiary students.

Local health providers will be able to submit proposals, and the Ministry of Health will choose which programmes to fund.

The Union of Students' Association spokeswoman Isabella Lenihan-Ikin, welcomes the new funding.

She says it is an overdue win for students across the country, who have been advocating for this kind of funding for years.
