    A call for a life time ban for the man who stood in the middle of a thundering field of racehorses on Wellington Cup day


    He took to the Trentham track towards the end of Race 8 on Saturday.

    Miraculously no one was hurt.

    But New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing General Manager James Dunne says the act was disgraceful.

    He says horses, riders and the man himself were put at risk, and the club has a responsibility to preserve and protect safety.

    A man's due in the Hutt Valley District Court court on Thursday, charged with endangering life, safety and health by criminal nuisance.
