    Cyclist George Bennett could be forgiven for dreaming about the beaches at home in Nelson


    He's finished 14th on stage 16 of the Giro d'Italia to move to 14th overall in the general classification.

    The queen stage was cut by 60 kilometres and had two mountain passes removed due to wet and snowy conditions.

    Bennett describes his misfortune.



    Fellow Kiwi domestique Patrick Bevin's 54th overall.

    Egan Bernal has won this morning's stage to further cement the tour leader's pink jersey.
