    A doffing of the cap from Alex Palou's boss to celebrate his anointment as Indycar season champion after finishing fourth at the final event in Long Beach, California

    Palou's teammate Scott Dixon was fourth for the season after finishing third in the finale.

    Rookie Scott McLaughlin was 11th in the last race which was won by Colton Herta.
