The delays have kept coming all morning on Auckland's Northwestern Motorway

Part of the motorway between Westgate and Massey was closed for about an hour, while police responded to an incident on Royal Road.

A multi-vehicle crash has also been blocking multiple northbound lanes after Rosebank Road.

Meanwhile, there have been problems in other parts of the country.

State Highway 6 in Nelson has also been closed at the Nayland Road underpass, after a vehicle came off the bridge onto the highway.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was seriously injured.
