    A homicide investigation continues in Ngaruawahia, after a woman died after a fight broke out yesterday afternoon


    The 42-year-old was critically injured in the fight on Waipa Esplanade near Newton Street, and was taken to an ambulance station on Jordan Street, where she died before she could be airlifted to hospital.

    Police have carried out scene examinations on Jordan Street and on Waipa Esplanade where she may have been injured.

    Officers have also been carrying out reassurance patrols, with the large Police presence expected to continue.
