    Blues coach Vern Cotter is staying optimistic despite his Super Rugby franchise's narrow 25-22 defeat by the Crusaders in Christchurch


    The defending champions picked up a bonus point in the loss - leaving them eighth on the table and three points outside of the top six.

    Cotter says the close affair with the Crusaders will help his side in the long run.
