Good news for Fonterra dairy farmers - accompanied by a "but"

Good news for Fonterra dairy farmers - accompanied by a "but"

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
The dairy co-op's forecasting a 10-dollar farmgate milk price payout this season, with an earnings ranging from 65 to 75 cents a share.

It's also forecasting a 10-dollar payout next season.

But Chief Executive Miles Hurrell says they're setting a wide forecast range, from eight-dollars to 11-dollars.

He says they're dealing with a volatile world, so there is a bit more downside than upside risk right now.
