The parents of a missing French teen are back in New Zealand, five years after their son's disappearance

The parents of a missing French teen are back in New Zealand, five years after their son's disappearance

Eloi Rolland was 18-years-old when he failed to return to his host family's home on Auckland's North Shore in March 2020.

Cellphone data last placed him on Piha Road but he's not been seen since.

His parents Thierry and Catherine Rolland are now touring the South Island searching for their son.

In a newspaper ad, the couple say days after Eloi disappeared, they received a report from a French tourist who said she spoke to Eloi in a holiday park in Te Anau.
