    Firefighters have neutralised a large chemical spill in Christchurch

    Firefighters have neutralised a large chemical spill in Christchurch


    Fire and Emergency were called to a commercial premises on McAlpine Street in Wigram at about 4.20 this morning

    The chemical is hydrochloric acid.

    Road closures remain in place and people are being asked to avoid the area.
