    The 16-year-old running talent has added yet another record to his resume - via Maori Plus.

    Ruthe's clocked three minutes 38.62 seconds in the heats of the boys 1500 metres to smash the 36-year-old previous best in the event.

    The time is more than eight second quicker than the mark set by Richard Potts in 198.

    In March, aged 15, the Tauranga Boys' College student became the youngest person to run a sub-four-minute mile.
