Eight men, including seven Iranian nationals, have been arrested in two separate counter-terrorism police investigations in England

BBC reports the Metropolitan Police say five were arrested at various locations around the country as part of an investigation into a plot to target a specific premises.

All five were arrested on suspicion of preparation of an act of terrorism.

In the same day, three other men were then arrested in London as part of a separate investigation led by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command.
