Marisa Abela has married Jamie Bogyo

The Back to Black actress tied the knot with the West End star at the 15th-century manor Firle Place in Sussex on Saturday (13.09.25) as they walked down the aisle to theme from Cinema Paradiso - the first film they watched together before saying the words "I love you"

The ceremony was officiated by Jamie's best man Nate Janis while both the bride's and groom's father's gave emotional speeches.

Marisa explained that the "unique" ceremony came a week after they had legally wed at Islington Town Hall.

The 28-year-old actress told British Vogue: "We wrote our own vows.

"We actually did a legal ceremony at Islington Town Hall the week before, which was incredibly special and intimate, with just our parents in attendance and a lunch at one of our favourite local spots afterward. This meant that our ceremony at Firle could be totally unique to us, a real celebration of who we are as people and what we mean to one another. It was the greatest moment of our lives. We cried, of course. Completely overwhelmed. There was just so much love in that room. It was just the most personal, heartfelt ceremony."

Marisa wore a dress designed by Emilia Wickstead for the nuptials before changing into another creation by the designer for the post-ceremony dinner and then wearing sports shorts and a custom blazer by Ukrainian designer Bevza later in the evening.

The Industry star explained: "It was its own showstopping moment with its simplicity and cut, but was slightly more practical."

Abela added: "I wanted something sexy that really felt like me, and I love tailoring. The sport shorts were perfect, and I could really let loose."

Wickstead also made dresses for the bridesmaids and the mother of the bride as Marisa wanted everybody to "feel their best".

She said: "I really wanted everyone to feel their best.

"The inspiration was what would the girl wearing my dress wear to her own courthouse wedding. The white tights brought even more of a playful vibe to the look."

The celebrations continued at Brighton's Soho House after the wedding and Marisa confessed that she is "overwhelmed" after getting hitched.

She said: "The speeches were absolutely incredible.

"They had us all in fits of laughter and fits of tears. With one final toast of 1942, and then we danced! And now, I'm overwhelmed, still on cloud nine, and unbelievably happy."
