Jennie Garth loves embracing retro fashion and beauty trends and she's convinced looks from the 1990s are "the best"

The 53-year-old actress shot to fame in 1990s teen TV show Beverly Hills, 90210 and she enjoys looking back on hair, make-up and clothes from the decade as well as looks from the 1970s and 1980s.

She told New Beauty: "The '90s are the best, ever! I think every decade has fun beauty and fashion. I love the '70s look with big, blown-out hair.

"I love the '80s with the rocker hair and a lot of hairspray. All those looks are so just cemented in my memory - and so are good memories surrounding the - that I love anytime anything comes back from the past."

Jennie has kept plenty of outfits from her time on Beverly Hills, 90210 but she now shares them with her daughters as they are always "borrowing" her clothes.

She added: "Well, [daughter] Fiona and I did a shoot for People magazine, and we used one of the dresses from [ Beverly Hills, 90210 character] Kelly Taylor.

"As soon as she saw the dress, she instantly stole it, so that's not mine anymore. They're always just borrowing all my clothes. It's ridiculous. I have no boundaries!"

Jennie previously launched her own fashion line - Me by Jennie Garth - with QVC that focuses on "easy and refined styles" and she explained that it all came from a desire to "help" others with their fashion choices.

She told People: "It's all about trying to help people. "And when I say that regarding the fashion line, [I] just really want to create looks for women who may need a little help with their outfit choices and maybe they want to reinvent themselves.

"Maybe they want to feel a little bit more empowered in their clothes, whether they're just hanging out at home or going to work, or going to pick up the kids. If you put yourself together just a little bit, it makes you feel more confident.

"I struggled a lot with imposter syndrome and doubting myself and wondering, 'What are you doing?' But then I started to counteract those messages and say, 'Why not you? You should try it. Just giving myself the encouragement. That was the most helpful thing I could have done for myself."
