Defence lawyers are grilling pathologists on the bloody clues left after the death of Amber-Rose Rush

Defence lawyers are grilling pathologists on the bloody clues left after the death of Amber-Rose Rush

Venod Skantha is on trial at the High Court in Dunedin - accused of murdering the 16-year-old.

Pathologist Rosalyn Rough examined Amber-Rose's and Skantha's homes in the days after her death.

Defence lawyer Jonathan Eaton QC has previously told the court he believes the Crown's star witness is the real killer.

He asked Rough whether she was asked to consider any other suspects when collecting evidence from the scene.

She says she was told to examine the young witness's clothes, but believed Skantha was the only suspect.
