The party's Te Tai Tonga electorate executive has demanded Party President John Tamihere resign, and he's responded by calling for MPs Mariameno Kapa-Kingi and Takuta Ferris to step aside.
The party leadership has now committed to a meeting at a Wellington marae to work through issues, following a hui with the National Iwi Chairs Forum.
The forum's spokesperson - Ngati Kahungunu Chair Bayden Barber - says there's more work to do.
He says they haven't landed a date or a place yet, and they need to get Kapa-Kingi and Ferris to also agree to the meeting.
