    Tony Hawk has called out a "narrative of nonsense" and misinformation after his name was mentioned in the Epstein files

    The 57-year-old skateboarding legend has been forced to address claims one of his weddings took place on Jeffrey Epstein's island, and he has been quick to shut down the speculation.


    In a strongly worded Instagram Story written in caps, he said: "Here are the facts and timelines of my nuptials. And I apologise if they don't fit a narrative of nonsense:

    "1990: Married in Fallbrook, CA (at home)

    "1996: Married in San Diego, CA (at Hilton Hotel)

    "2006: Married in Fiji (on Tavarua Surf Island)

    "2015: Married in Ireland (at Adare Manor)."

    The extreme sports icon explained that a guest at his 2006 wedding - sports photographer Mark Epstein - took photos and licensed them to an agency.

    Although Jeffrey's younger brother is also called Mark, Hawk noted they are not the same man.

    Hawk continued: "One of the guests in 2006 shot photos of the Fiji ceremony and licensed them to Getty Images.

    "His name is [coincidentally] Mark Epstein, an accomplished action sports photographer from Wyoming and of no relation to Jeffrey Epstein (who I never met and whose island I never visited.

    "This is all easily verifiable information. Facts are not fungible."

    He also apologised to his friend for being "pulled into" the speculation.

    He added: "Sorry you also got pulled into the misinformation vortex @MARKEPS @MARKEPSTEINPHOTO."

    Hawk's name was included in the Epstein Files, which is a collection of documents - including interviews with witnesses and victims, emails and items confiscated from Epstein's properties.

    The United States Department of Justice has revealed these to the public.

    In an email dated October 22, 2024, an unnamed Threat Intake Examiner reported an alleged human trafficking case involving a minor, and Hawk's name was mentioned.

    The email read: "They would have sex with the young women and she was taken from Ireland and brought to Jeffrey Epstein Island when she was 13 years old.

    "[Redacted] said that she was there when Prince Edward was there and when Tony Hawk got married on the island."
