South Sydney playmaker Cody Walker is the surprise choice to lead the Indigenous team in the All-Stars match against New Zealand Maori

Making his Indigenous team debut, Walker was chosen by coach Laurie Daley over more experienced campaigners Will Chambers and Andrew Fifita.

Walker says it's "surreal" to be chosen as captain for the game in Melbourne tomorrow night after long watching the All-Stars concept as a fan.
