The Silver Ferns have got the workout they were after, losing 54-50 to the New Zealand men's invitational side in their latest Netball World Cup warm up match in Auckland

The Silver Ferns have got the workout they were after, losing 54-50 to the New Zealand men's invitational side in their latest Netball World Cup warm up match in Auckland

After trailing for the majority of the contest, the Ferns levelled the score's at 40-all in the fourth quarter before eventually losing 54-50.

Coach Noeline Taurua says their defence kept them in the contest.

She says they created a lot of turnovers, and played shooter Junior Levi well.

The Silver Ferns face Fiji tonight, while the New Zealand men will face the ANZ Premiership All-Stars.
