The Daily Mail claims England and France's Pool C decider will not go ahead due to the typhoon barrelling towards Tokyo and Yokohama on Saturday.
Reports suggested the fixture would be moved behind closed doors in Oita , but that was updated to say the game would stay in Yokohama, before the idea of a cancellation emerged.
Tournament rules say nothing about moving pool fixtures, only that they can be delayed on the same day or cancelled.
Toyota City - where the All Blacks' game against Italy is to be played - has also been mentioned by World Rugby as an impact area.
World Rugby will unveil further plans at a 4pm media conference.
