Police are asking for public help finding two people who help up a petrol station on Auckland's North Shore

The armed pair took a large haul of cigarettes from the Gull station on Greville Road just after midnight on Friday.

They left in a stolen silver Nissan Tiida (TEE-dah).

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Tomlinson Street, in Manurewa.

Police have released CCTV images of the men on their website.
