Silver Ferns coach Noeline Taurua is reflecting on a stellar international career of shooter Maria Folau who has announced her retirement

Silver Ferns coach Noeline Taurua is reflecting on a stellar international career of shooter Maria Folau who has announced her retirement

The 32 year old debuted for New Zealand in 2005 and played 150 tests, her last being the Constellation Cup decider in Perth in October.

Taurua says Folau has had an extraordinary career.

A new cycling team is preparing to show off Kiwis to the world.

The Black Spoke Pro Cycling Academy has launched with ten kiwi cyclists, six are under 23.

Co-founder and general manager Scott Guyton says the team will deliver a missing step for kiwi athletes in the pathway to the top of the sport.

Australia has made an injury enforced change for the Boxing Day test against the Black Caps in Melbourne.

Peter Siddle comes in for the injured Josh Hazlewood.

Coach Justin Langer says he's a proven performer.

Alice Robinson is confident she will be at her dangerous best in tonight's World Cup giant slalom in Courchevel in France.
