The prospect of line honours record falling in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race is being deemed unlikely by the key super-maxi skippers

The prospect of line honours record falling in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race is being deemed unlikely by the key super-maxi skippers

The famous race starts at 3pm this afternoon in Sydney harbour.

Jim Cooney's Comanche claimed the race record in 2017 with a time of one day, nine hours, 15 minutes and 24 seconds, but believes the conditions won't allow similar times this year.

Wild Oats XI chases a 10th line honours crown.
