Change for the better for the Wellington Phoenix since their first tussle with Western United

The 'Nix have beaten the A-League's newcomers, who are coached by former mentor Mark Rudan 3-1 in West Melbourne, extending their unbeaten run to seven games.

The Phoenix lost 1-nil to Western United to open the season.

Coach Ufuk Talay says their unbeaten streak has instilled plenty of belief.

Meanwhile, Newcastle and Brisbane have drawn 1-all.
