Will Somerville is lauding the man they call "Goat" ahead of a potential match-up at the Sydney Cricket Ground

Will Somerville is lauding the man they call "Goat" ahead of a potential match-up at the Sydney Cricket Ground

The Auckland spinner has been called into the Black Caps squad for the final test against Australia, with the SCG expected to be spin-friendly as usual.

Somerville says Australia's Nathan Lyon - nicknamed GOAT for Greatest Offspinner of All Time - is playing incredibly well, having taken 10 wickets for the series.

For the record, the third test starting Friday will be just New Zealand's third test at the Sydney Cricket ground and first since 1985 - longer than the absence from the MCG.
