Police say an alleged shooter on the run in Christchurch is of no threat to the public

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Woolston's Radley Street and Ferry Road just after 8 last night.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the shoulder - and remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Police are still looking for the offender - but believe the two were known to each other and it was an isolated incident.

They'd like to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time of the shooting.
