The 21-year-old is expected to appear in the Auckland District Court at the end of this month.
Two people were injured following the incident on Great South Road, Manurewa on July 21 last year.
The Herald understands one of the injured was a fellow officer who was a passenger in the police car.
Acting District Commander for Counties Manukau, Inspector Jared Pirret, says the accused officer was on-duty and attending to a priority incident when she crashed.
