Shane Archbold's taking the stares in his stride... and they're not because of his mullet

Shane Archbold's taking the stares in his stride... and they're not because of his mullet

The Kiwi cyclist has joined his new team Deceuninck Quickstep, ahead of the Tour Down Under.

He says his new teammates are unsure why he's socialising with fellow-New Zealanders, Jack Bauer, George Bennett and Tom Scully, who are in different teams.

Archbold's quipped they can probably learn some social skills from him.

The first stage is a 150 kilometre haul in Tanunda, South Australia.
