    A section of State Highway 16 south of Wellsford is closed after a serious crash, which happened about 3.40pm


    The NZ Transport Agency says the road is closed between Ingleton and Wharehine Roads in Tauhoa.

    One lane is blocked on the Northern Motorway because of a crash in the right lane after the Oteha Valley on-ramp southbound.

    The crash happened about 4.45pm.

    Police were alerted to a bush fire at the side of North Western Motorway just before 3pm.

    It was reported to be between Lincoln Rd and Te Atatu Rd off-Ramps.
