Napier's Mayor has made a commitment to the community as part of the fight against gangs

Napier's Mayor has made a commitment to the community as part of the fight against gangs

Police have so far made three arrests in relation to a shooting and gang brawl in Taradale just over a week ago.

Mayor Kirsten Wise says the council will take the lead on working alongside iwi, hapu and gang leaders to resolve issues.

But she says there's no quick fix.

She says agencies need to come together and take action and it can't be another talk fest.
