    There will be a Kiwi flavour to the inaugural Piha Pro in March


    Current national men's open champion and Piha local Elliot Paerata-Reid and Mount Maunganui's Kehu Butler have been given wildcards.

    Both have competed on the World Surf League Qualifying Series.

    Hawaiian surfer Bethany Hamilton has already been confirmed in the women's field, with several other big names expected in the coming weeks.
