A tribute to a killed cyclist at Wellington City Council meeting around road safety

A tribute to a killed cyclist at Wellington City Council meeting around road safety

65-year-old Brent Norriss died on State Highway 2 near Horokiwi on Monday - after a collision with a car.

A tribute to Norris preceded the committee meeting discussion of dropping speeds.

Councillor Jill Day says the death adds a sad footnote to the debate.

She says it really helps the conversation about how people move around the city.
