Akira Ioane will make his first Super Rugby appearance in the 2020 season

Akira Ioane will make his first Super Rugby appearance in the 2020 season

The loose forward will come off the bench against the Waratahs at the weekend, having been a surprise omission from the side that lost to the Chiefs.

In other changes, specialist lock Josh Goodhue will start with Tom Robinson dropping to the bench, while Blake Gibson comes into the run-on side for Tony Lamborn who has an infection.

Karl Tu'inukuafe starts at loosehead prop with Alex Hodgman injured in the other change to the pack.

Wing Mark Telea switches sides to the left this week to cover Rieko Ioane's injury-enforced absence, with Jordan Hyland to start on the right.
