The race to top the World Cup Giant Slalom standings for the season has intensified following Kiwi skier Alice Robinson's brilliant win in the latest race in Slovenia

The race to top the World Cup Giant Slalom standings for the season has intensified following Kiwi skier Alice Robinson's brilliant win in the latest race in Slovenia

The 18 year old has consolidated fifth place in the overall standings but is now just 33 points behind reigning world champion Petra Vlhova in second.

Italian Federica Brignone leads the standings with three races to go including the World Cup Finals and Robinson will be pushing her all the way.

Alice Robinson will be back on the slopes this weekend at a Europa Cup Super G race in Italy.
