Auckland Airport's bracing itself... for the full economic impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak

Auckland Airport's bracing itself... for the full economic impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak

Its half year profit is flat at just over 147-million, but the company forecasts its full year result could be as much as 10-million down.

Herald aviation writer Grant Bradley says there's a lot of uncertainty.

He says at this time of the year the Airport would expect about 45 flights a week between Auckland and Mainland China - but that's down to between eight and 11.

Meanwhile, temporary reductions of about five per cent will be made to Qantas and Jetstar flights between Australia and New Zealand.
