Leaked emails reveal Wellington's mayor and new council boss are coming under pressure to publicly front up, as the city's water woes reach 'crisis point'

Leaked emails reveal Wellington's mayor and new council boss are coming under pressure to publicly front up, as the city's water woes reach 'crisis point'

The correspondence shows councillors pushing for the pair to issue a joint statement over the infrastructure failures.

Just a few days after the emails were sent, Mayor Andy Foster went into damage control by calling an urgent meeting and announcing a taskforce.

He's confident they've responded to the issue.
