Pole vaulter Eliza McCartney continues to have faith she can qualify for the Olympics, despite barely competing in the past two years

Pole vaulter Eliza McCartney continues to have faith she can qualify for the Olympics, despite barely competing in the past two years

The Olympic bronze medallist has battled a series of injuries which have been exacerbated by an auto-immune condition.

She plans to return to competition in April, giving herself just over two months to qualify for Tokyo.

McCartney says she already can't make it to the Games by being in the world's top 32 vaulters.
