Calls for better communication from Wellington police when it comes to burglaries
2 March 2020
Concern is high in Wellington's eastern suburbs after a string of aggressive burglaries, including one that put a Miramar dairy owner in hospital.
During a public meeting, residents voiced their concerns over a lack of communication by Police, and called for better lighting in the area.
Inspector Wade Jennings says they expect the crime pocket to die down soon, but the concerns have been noted.
He says Police also live in these communities, so they appreciate the concerns, and would like to thank the public for engaging with them.
