The impact of the lockdown on cancer diagnoses is yet to be seen

International data shows lockdowns can slow detection - because of a reduction in screening, and fewer GP visits.
Cancer Society medical director Dr Chris Jackson says he expects screenings will get back to speed again soon - and diagnoses will rise again.
He says as people get back to seeing their GPs as normal, new cases will be picked up - but whether that means people will be diagnosed at a later stage or not is not clear.
