The captain of a jet boat that crashed in March last year killing one and injuring two others - had three times the legal limit for driving a car

The boat crashed on the Hollyford River in Fiordland National Park about 9pm that evening.

Chief Accident Investigator, Aaron Holman, says the speed and low light meant the driver had less time to make good driving decisions - and wouldn't have been able to see rocks and other obstacles easily.
