Three police officers have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter

The charges relate to the death of a 55-year-old man at the Hawera police station in the early hours of June 1st last year.
It's alleged the officers were grossly negligent in their duty of care to the victim and this negligence was a factor in his death.
The officers have been remanded on bail during and name suppression has been continued until a hearing next month in the High Court in New Plymouth.
A trial date has been set for May next year.
