Victim Support is assisting the family at the centre of Tuesday's fatal house fire in Christchurch

Victim Support is assisting the family at the centre of Tuesday's fatal house fire in Christchurch

A father and two children survived -- but a nine-month-old girl and eight-year-old boy died in the Burwood blaze.

Superintendent Lane Todd says investigations into the fire are in the early stages.

He says, for now, Police are doing all they can for the family.

Emergency Services staff and neighbours are also being offered support
