A Hamilton shopping centre has been evacuated after suspected homemade explosives were found

A Hamilton shopping centre has been evacuated after suspected homemade explosives were found

The Chartwell Shopping Centre is closed while Police respond.

Police say they've located a number of what look to be explosive devices at the mall.

Bank workers told NZME they heard there's been an attempt to blow up an ATM machine.

The area has been cordoned off -- including Hukanui Road, Lynden Court and Comries Road.
